In 2015, to commemorate our tenth anniversary, TRISTAR Insurance Agents & Brokers Ltd. made a strategic decision to forgo the traditional anniversary celebrations and invest our anniversary budget into education instead, all $60,000 of it.

This marked the birth of the TRISTAR Education Optimization Program (TEOP), launched at the Government High School. The idea was simple. We wanted to positively impact the future of these students through mentorship, building relationships and providing scholarships.

Our goal was to inspire hope, and to present university as a real and attainable option for all of them. So we included a $40,000 scholarship for one student to attend The University of The Bahamas in the President’s Scholars Program after the completion of the program. TEOP students also have the opportunity to participate in summer work-study and career-training at TRISTAR’s offices.
